WASHINGTONG D.C. May 1st, 2022. Congressman Adam Kinzinger (R – IL) introduced an Authorization for the Use of Military Force (AUMF) in Ukraine to the House on Monday. It would give President Biden the ability to militarily attack Russian forces in Ukraine if chemical, biological, or nuclear weapons were used in the country.

An AUMF is the closest thing the American people will get to a war declaration from their representatives in this era.

This AUMF authorizes the president to attack the most significantly-armed nuclear power on Earth for “defending and restoring Ukrainian territorial integrity,” which anyone who has read AUMFs issued in the past, particularly for those regarding American involvement in the Middle-East, will note is extremely broad.

Upon determining that the Russian Federation has used chemical, biological, or nuclear weapons in Ukraine, the AUMF reads, military action is authorized to defend or restore territorial integrity of Ukraine.

This definition would technically allow the President to attack Russia in the event of any sizeable foothold being made in Donbas.

However the most dangerous part of this development is that the AUMF spells out in precise terms exactly what it will take to get America involved in the war, opening the door to Ukrainian nationals staging false flag attacks.

A story of 3 fake gas attacks

Nuclear weapons are one thing, and if Russia authorized the use of such a weapon it would change all dynamics of the situation, but chemical weapons can be fabricated often through industrial-grade cleaning products. There are certainly groups within the country capable both technically, and ideologically to stage a Syrian-style chemical weapons attack, for example the neo-Nazi Azov battalion, who revere a Ukrainian political figure who helped orchestrate the Holocaust in his country.

Faced with an alleged chemical weapons attack Biden would have to chose whether to escalate as his former-president once did in Syria.

When Barack Obama clearly stated to the press and Congress that America would intervene if Syrian President Bashar al-Assad were to use chemical weapons against his own people, the next 6 years of conflict in that country was punctuated by 3 fake gas attacks, all perpetrated by rebel groups trying to get the most powerful military in the world involved in the country, and unsurprisingly not by the local government, trying to keep the most powerful military out of its country.

Today it’s the great failure of most major media organizations not to correct the record that the gas attacks in places like Douma and Khan Shaykoun, known now after significant findings, were staged in order to get the U.S. more embedded in the conflict.

From the start WaL has been covering this re-write of history, including reporting on the re-analysis of the 2017 attack in Khan Shaykoun, which found it was likely impossible to be a government act.

Two years after the most significant attack—the one on April 7th, 2017 in the town of Douma, experienced conflict reporting from The Intercept revealed that substantial amounts of initial information was nothing but propaganda cooked up by the rebels who held the city. Large and important questions immediately went unanswered, and remained so, with most being happy to leave it that way.

Then, without any mention of it at all in major media organizations, the Organization for the Prevention of Chemical Weapons (OPCW), the world’s authority on the subject who examined the Douma site thoroughly was rocked and tore itself apart from within as a series of whistleblowers contested that the official Douma report was fraudulent, and that the real report, which was subsequently released to those press outlets with the courage to print it, had been buried.

The real report found it to have almost certainly been staged, and based its findings on engineering, forensics, and chemical analysis.

Finally, American anti-war advocate Scott Horton released a book in 2021 entitled Enough Already in which he knits all the findings together in a chapter labeled “Three Fake Gas Attacks”.

Involvement of America in the Ukrainian war would certainly mean a Ukrainian victory, but it would also undoubtedly place the world at the greatest risk of a nuclear holocaust since the invention of the bomb.
